Surprise

I thought of something we could do this weekend, assuming we actually feel like leaving the room. Well, two things. Do you like surprises?

Yeah. Well, mostly. Nice surprises.

Good. I think you’ll like this. But either way it will be funny and cool.

What is it? It’s not another stripper is it? Because I’ve had one of those this year.

No, no. That would be cliché, two strippers in one year.

I know. So overdone. But what is it? What could it be?

I’m not telling. You’ll just have to clear your schedule.

Shhheeeeed-you-ul. That is so British.

Sorry, SKED-you-ul. Better?

Shhhed-yul. SKED-yul? Shhhed-yool? Pip pip, cheerio, old fellow!

It’s really funny when you talk with an English accent.

Not as funny as when you talk with an American one.

“Hi guys! Whateverrrrr!”

No, see, you still did the thing where you leave out the T. “Wo’-evah.” That T’s there for a reason, dude. You have to say it.

Wo’evah.

Whatever. So what’s the surprise? Dude, wait, what time is it? I have to go to work, like, right now.

Are you sure?

Mmph. Yes. Well, no. Kind of. Maybe. No.

I really like kissing you.

I really like kissing you too.

Is it Day Five or Day Six today?

Umm…are we counting Saturday?

Well, yeah!

Okay, so Saturday is Zero Hour…

Heh.

…and that makes Sunday Day One, and so today’s…uh…today’s Day Six. I think. Day Six? Yeah.

Wo’evah. Day Six.

This time last week we were staying up until six in the morning talking in the lounge.

That seems such a long time ago.

I know. It’s weird.

Weird good?

Oh yes. Definitely weird good. Weird, but good.

Good.

And then Saturday was when I put a blanket over your head.

That was great.

I thought, “Aha! I’ll put a blanket over his head! He’ll never see that coming!”

I didn’t.

I know. I am super sneaky.

We’ll have to put blankets on our head tomorrow night, to celebrate.

Okay.

Okay.

I have to go to work.

Okay.

No, really.

Okay.

I have to go.

You’ll never escape!

Baby needs a new pair of shoes!

Yeah, I could use another pair of trainers.

Hmmph!

No, you’re right. You should go.

I know.

In five minutes.

Maybe in ten. No, like, right now. I gotta go. Can you pop me my glasses? Have a fantastic day. Shall I text when I’m done and if you’re out we can walk home together?

Sure, that sounds lovely. I’m going to sort out the surprise today.

Oooh, I can’t wait. I really like surprises.

  10. Sounds like you were playing a game of “Try to Get Away,” in which one party, ideally the stronger one, holds on the other while they are trying to get out of bed and be productive. It’s a very fun game!
